Where Are The Cupcakes??

written on December 2, 2011 : All

Almost the number one question I hear lately. “Where can I get your cupcakes?”

You can get them from me. I’m back to delivery and custom orders only for now. I’ve added some new cart features to the website for you. And about once a week there will be a day where if you order online I’ll make several deliveries to one area – like Syracuse University. You can order fewer than a dozen on these occasions. When will those days be? You have to follow me to find out.

Coming soon, you’ll be able to get my cupcakes at a couple of other businesses. It’s very exciting! I’m working on a location for a “Cupcake Pop Up” shop at a downtown location where you’ll be able to visit a great spot and get my goodies there on special nights. This takes effort and imagination from both myself and the owner of the location to be. I’m making lots of new friends during this process and will have news soon for you.

I recently tweeted prematurely about a possible new location for my boutique bakery downtown. The storefront I was looking at needed just a little bit more money put into the ceiling than I am willing to do. So the search continues and some days I feel real close to the goal, while others I feel it’s a step back. No worries though, I will keep you posted. Some days I feel like I am just starting out as a business, there is so much to do and so many hoops to jump through. But I’ll get there, and then you can come see me there!

It’s Here, It’s Here!

Well, the cart has finally arrived!  Yep, the “super secret” that some of you were in on has made its debut recently and now it’s time to schedule the appearances.

You’ll find CNY’s only cupcake cart at the Manlius Market on Sundays from noon to 4pm beginning June 5th, on Mondays at Eastwood Plaza from 12:30 to 4pm beginning May 23rd, and other locations and times are in the works.  This cutie on wheels is also available for your very own private or corporate function, just give Jen a call to find out the details. Know of a spot you’d like to see it in? Let us know that too!

Did you see the cart make its first appearance at Savor Syracuse?  Let us know what you thought!  The buzz that night was wonderful!

See ya around!!

And our first namesake is...

written on January 24, 2011 : business worthy, cakes

Back in November, I opened up the posts for fans to suggest unusual or favorite flavor combinations they would like to see in a cupcake.  How do this work?  I come up with the formulas and recipes to include the requested flavors.  You don’t have to have a favorite recipe already, but you could have a chance to have your namesake on our menu!

The testing of ideas has begun with SunnySyracuse first up.  Named for @SunnyinSyracuse on twitter, this one is already a winner in my book.  Don’t worry, we’ll still have a get together sometime soon to sample and “vote for fun” on the best ones, but this one was a hit today at the Chilly Chili 5k run/walk in Cazenovia.  I thought it was only appropriate to take cake with chilies in it, don’t you agree??  I ran out of everything I took, but this one went fast!

The cake named after this Sunny chocolate lover with a touch of heat… Chocolate Orange cake with a hit of Cayenne, a thin layer of  pepper jelly and orange marmalade bathed in dark chocolate ganache and iced with a chocolate chili butter cream.

Did you try it today? Be sure to keep your eyes open for when it becomes an official addition to our menu!

Shown in addition to the SunnySyracuse cake, are samples of Red Velvet, white, and Pinkberry Coconut.
